Industrial invoicing in Andalusia grows by 9.4% between January and July, more than double the 4.3% in Spain. In July, the year-on-year increase was 6.5% in the region, compared to 4.1% nationally.
The industrial invoicing of Andalusia accumulated a growth of 9.4% between January and July compared to the same period last year, more than double that recorded in Spain as a whole, where the increase was 4.3%. This is reported by the Weekly Economic Observatory of the Junta de Andalucía, prepared with data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA), as published by diarioavanza.es.
In July, Andalusian industrial invoicing maintained a growth rate higher than the national average: it increased by 6.5% year-on-year compared to 4.1% on average in Spain. With these figures, Andalusia ranks as the second autonomous community with the highest accumulated growth in industrial invoicing until July.
The third vice president and minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, has commented on these results:
"This result places Andalusia as the second autonomous community with the highest accumulated growth in industrial invoicing until July"
Regarding the sectors of activity, metallurgy stands out with an increase of 27.3%, followed by the chemical industry, which increased its invoicing by 13%. The extractive industries recorded a rise of 25.7%. The regional data for oil refining is not available due to statistical confidentiality; in Spain as a whole, this activity grew by 36.7%.
The minister emphasized that this data confirms "the strength of the Andalusian industry, an activity that is gaining weight and responsiveness, allowing us to face the future with greater opportunities for businesses and employment."
