Donald Trump has expressed his opposition to increasing regulation of artificial intelligence. On his social media platform, he stated that the only control needed is a strong and intelligent president.

Donald Trump has made it clear that he rejects the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI), despite recent calls for moderation from industry leaders. According to expansión.com, the President of the United States believes that the only safety mechanism needed for AI is his own capability as president.

In a message shared on Truth Social, Trump stated: "The only guardrail that AI needs is a STRONG AND INTELLIGENT PRESIDENT (with a high IQ!), and the United States has plenty of that!" This statement comes in a context where several developers have expressed the need for more responsible technology development.

Additionally, the president attacked the CEO of Anthropic, Dario Amodei, whom he accused of trying to be a "perfect angel." Trump emphasised that the competition to dominate AI between the United States and China must not stop, asserting: "WHO WINS AI, WINS!" This stance highlights his intention to keep the United States at the forefront of the technological race.
