The American company Greif has acquired the Alicante firm Envaplast for a total of €53 million. This operation aims to support the growth of the local company, which specializes in plastic packaging for the agrochemical sector.
The Alicante company Envaplast has been acquired by the American multinational Greif for a value of $61.7 million, equivalent to €53.4 million, according to the publication expansión.com. This operation will allow Envaplast to integrate into Greif's Customized Polymer Solutions division, although a merger process will not take place.
Based in Benimarfull (Alicante), Envaplast specializes in the manufacture of plastic packaging for industrial use and has over 40 years of experience. The company, which was managed by the Lledó Villaplana family, will retain its current CEO, Joan Oriola Lledó, at the helm after the acquisition.
In 2025, the company reported a turnover of €22.13 million and an EBITDA of €8.24 million. The workforce of Envaplast consists of approximately 35 employees. Greif, for its part, is a global leader in industrial packaging, with revenues exceeding $4 billion and more than 14,000 employees across 250 production facilities.
The president of Greif, Ole Rosgaard, stated that this acquisition represents an excellent platform to expand its polymer small packaging business in the region, highlighting the shared commitment to quality and customer service.
