Ibex 35 has surpassed 19,600 points in a positive session, led by the banking sector. This recovery comes after a Friday of losses and in a context of attention to the meeting between the United States and China.

The Spanish stock market has started the week with optimism, achieving that Ibex 35 exceeds 19,600 points. This rise occurs after three weeks of declines in almost all stock indices, with banking being the sector that contributes most to this increase, according to expansion.com.

The main banks, such as Sabadell and Santander, are leading the index's advances. The current context is marked by fluctuations in oil prices, which fall below 102 dollars on Monday following comments from US President Donald Trump regarding his willingness to meet with Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly in New York.

Investors are paying attention to the meeting scheduled for this Thursday between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, where crucial topics such as trade and technology will be discussed. Analysts from Link Securities warn that the decision to maintain the trade truce will be key for the market.

In other sectors, IAG is experiencing a recovery thanks to the drop in oil prices, while Repsol and other energy stocks like Enagás, Naturgy, and Redeia are losing ground.

In the debt market, the yield on the Spanish bond moves away from 4%, while the German bund retreats below 3.50%. The euro remains at 1.14 dollars and bitcoin continues its rise, surpassing 81,000 dollars.
