The assets of investment funds in Spain have reached **€482.130 billion** after an increase of **0.8%** in August. This rise is attributed to both the revaluation of portfolios and new inflows.
Spanish investment funds closed August with an increase in their asset volume, reaching **€482.130 billion**, which represents a growth of **7%** so far this year and **0.8%** compared to the previous month, according to the industry association Inverco.
This increase is due to the strong performance of financial markets, which have revalued their portfolios, and the new inflows recorded during the month. Specifically, net subscriptions reached **€1.415 billion** in August, totalling **€12.369 billion** in the first eight months of the year.
The association highlights that **65%** of the increase in asset volume is due to portfolio revaluations as a market effect, while the remaining **35%** comes from positive flows. In August, equity funds experienced the largest increase, with an additional **€1.913 billion**, representing a **2.4%** rise.
Meanwhile, fixed-income funds grew by **€456 million** (an increase of **0.2%**), while mixed funds increased their assets by **€430 million**. However, guaranteed funds saw a reduction of **0.4%**, totalling **€19.150 billion**.
In terms of profitability, investment funds achieved an average positive return of **0.6%** in August, standing at **6.8%** year-on-year. Categories with greater exposure to international stock markets, such as emerging market and Japan equity funds, led the returns, reaching **26%** for the year.
