The company MasOrange has reclaimed its original name, Orange España, following the total acquisition by the French operator. This change comes after the purchase of its stake from MásMóvil for €4.25 billion.
MasOrange has ceased to exist as a brand and is now called Orange España, following the complete takeover by the French operator. The transformation occurs after completing the purchase of its 50% stake from MásMóvil for €4.25 billion in early June 2026.
Since its start of operations on 26 March 2024, MasOrange established itself as the leading telecom by customer volume in the country. The company has stated that this name change marks the beginning of a new phase of growth.
The CEO of Orange España, Meinrad Spenger, has stated that this decision “represents a natural evolution of the project” and aims to simplify the corporate identity. At the same time, it enhances the visibility of the main brand, facilitating its ability to drive the digital transformation of the country.
According to a study by Brand Finance, the brand Orange is valued at $18.9 billion, a 6% increase from 2025, and ranks eighth globally within the sector. In Spain, it is considered the brand with the greatest strength and recognition.
