The Chamber of Commerce of Oviedo organises 'Amar Asturias – Madrid Edition' on September 14 at Truss Madrid by Movistar Arena to connect Asturian professionals in technology, finance, entrepreneurship and medicine.

The Chamber of Commerce of Oviedo will hold the first edition of Amar Asturias – Madrid Edition on September 14 at 7 PM at Truss Madrid by Movistar Arena, an event aimed at connecting young Asturian talent developing their careers inside and outside the Principality and mobilising ideas around the future of the region. This has been announced by the chamber, which has described the attendees as "activists for Asturian prosperity."

The initiative is based on the premise that Asturias needs to "organise its talent, generate connections and give prominence to the new generations," according to the Chamber's statement. The event will be supported by the Economic and Commercial Office of Asturias in Madrid, the agency Sekuens, the Department of Science, Industry and Employment of the Principality, and the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Asturias (AJE).

Among the speakers are Paloma Marín, vice president of the CNMV; Gabriela Orille, independent advisor of Denarius Finance and CEO of the Flinket platform; Javier Fernández Castañón, Enterprise Lead of Palantir Tech for Spain and Portugal; Sergio Álvarez Teleña, CEO of SciTheWorld; and Samuel Espías, maxillofacial surgeon. Journalist Ana Francisco will host the event, which will also feature Salvador Ondó, champion and master of pouring cider.

Amar Asturias aims to view the region beyond clichés, focusing on an Asturias "that is also talent, knowledge, business, innovation, creativity and projects capable of generating impact," the text states. The goal is for the meeting to transcend reflection and become a starting point for creating concrete collaborations and initiatives.

"This first edition is born with a vocation for continuity. The intention is for Amar Asturias to not just be a one-off meeting, but the beginning of a community that grows with new people, connections and projects, and that keeps the bond with Asturias alive over time," the Chamber states in its announcement.

After the speeches, the evening will continue with a spicha, featuring Asturian cuisine, cider and live music, a format that seeks to move away from card networking to encourage "real conversations." This edition also collaborates with La Nueva España, Sidra de Asturias DOP, Moscovitas, Fuensanta and DOP Cangas del Narcea.
