The engineering group based in Seville, Ghenova, has won the 2026 National Export Award in Colombia for its local subsidiary, which already accumulates 180,000 hours of annual engineering work.

The group Ghenova, whose headquarters is in Seville, has received a new international recognition: its subsidiary Ghenova Colombia S.A.S. has won the 2026 National Export Award in the category “Export Work – Exporting Services Company”. The award, presented on September 4, 2026 in Cartagena de Indias, is granted by the National Association of Foreign Trade (Analdex) and ProColombia.

The award distinguishes companies that promote Colombian foreign trade and the internationalisation of their services. In this case, it recognises the work of the subsidiary as an exporter of engineering services and the capability of its team to participate in international projects with specialised knowledge and innovation.

The CEO of Ghenova Colombia, Jorge Enrique Carreño Moreno, received the award and stated:

“This award represents recognition of the commitment and talent of the entire Ghenova Colombia team. It encourages us to continue strengthening our capabilities, generating opportunities, and bringing the engineering developed in the country to new international markets.”

The Ghenova offices in Colombia are located in Cartagena de Indias and have a capacity of 180,000 hours of engineering and consulting per year. Since 2020, the subsidiary has participated in large-scale projects ranging from cruise ships and military vessels to offshore platforms and renewable energy generation plants using sources such as wind, photovoltaic, biomass, and hydrogen.

The Ghenova group, which was founded in Seville and maintains its main headquarters in the Andalusian capital, thus reinforces its commitment to Colombia as a strategic enclave. The company employs over 1,300 professionals, of which 80% are engineers, spread across 18 offices in 9 countries: Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, the United States, Australia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and recently, Saudi Arabia.

The recognition comes at a time when Andalusian engineering seeks to consolidate itself in Latin American markets. For the reader from Seville, the award represents a new boost to the international projection of a firm with local roots, which continues to expand its presence outside Spain.
