PFEA 2026 will allow the hiring of 64 people in Isla Cristina to rehabilitate the Municipal Auditorium and enhance security at the Civil Guard barracks. The works will be carried out between November 2026 and March 2027.
The PFEA 2026 arrives in Isla Cristina with two projects that will total 64 hires between skilled workers and labourers. The signing of the agreements, promoted by the Huelva Provincial Council, will enable the rehabilitation of the Municipal Auditorium and implement security improvements at the Civil Guard barracks.
The first project will focus on the Auditorium of the Central Park and will last five months. It includes comprehensive waterproofing of the stage platform to eliminate leaks, adapting the stage with an accessible ramp and a communication staircase, and renewing protections. Curbs and stands will also be repaired, damaged pavements replaced, and irregularities in pedestrian transit areas corrected.
This project will continue the work of the PFEA 2025 and will involve the hiring of 40 people: 11 skilled workers, including officials and a supervisor, and 29 labourers. The work will be carried out between 1 November 2026 and 31 March 2027.
The second project will take place at the Civil Guard barracks over three months. The works include raising the pillars of the front and side enclosure, modifying the bars between the pillars and the metal access door for security reasons, and repairing walls, stairs, and other damaged elements.
Additionally, there will be interventions in the access stairs to two blocks of pavilions with the installation of LED lighting, renewal of coverings using perlite and paint, and replacement of the pavement of steps and landings. These works will also continue the actions of the PFEA 2025.
This second project will generate 24 contracts: six first-class masonry officials and 18 labourers, with execution planned between 1 November 2026 and 31 January 2027.
The State Public Employment Service (SEPE) contributes €141,805.25 to finance the labour. €67,199.63 is allocated for materials and machinery, with 75% funding from the Andalusian Government and 25% from the Huelva Provincial Council.
The provincial corporation supports municipalities with financing, technical assistance, advice, and management capacity to implement these projects.
