The Ibex 35 index remains at the barrier of 20,000 points while awaiting the employment report from the United States. This crucial data will be published today at 14:30 Spanish time.

The Ibex 35 aims to close the week around 20,000 points, in a context marked by the anticipation of the official employment report from the United States, which will be announced today. According to expansion.com, analysts believe this data could influence the Federal Reserve's decision on a possible rate hike at its meeting on September 16.

The probabilities of a rate increase have fluctuated from 70% to 50% following recent comments from Fed Governor Christopher Waller, who indicated that the decision will depend on upcoming inflation data. This shift has benefited the stock market, gold, and bitcoin, while moderating debt interest rates.

Today, at 14:30 Spanish time, the report is expected to reveal a stable unemployment rate of 4.1% and the creation of approximately 56,000 jobs in August, surpassing the job losses observed in July. Meanwhile, Wall Street shows a cautious stance, consolidating previous gains in anticipation of this data.
