The state union reports 18 months without a salary update at the agency and demands an urgent dialogue table. If there is no response, direct actions will follow.
The Association of State Workers (ATE) has formally demanded the executive director of the National Administration of Social Security (ANSES), Guillermo Arancibia, to immediately reopen salary negotiations. The request, as reported by degremiales.com, was led by the union's general secretary, Rodolfo Aguiar, who stated that workers have accumulated 18 months without salary updates.
The union claims that the salary freeze has caused a significant loss of purchasing power and a progressive deterioration of working conditions in offices and delegations across the country. Aguiar accused the Government of maintaining an “intentional disinvestment” of the agency and stated that the situation affects both employees and daily pension services.
“There is an intentional disinvestment of ANSES and a breach of Collective Labour Agreement 305/98,” the leader pointed out.
ATE warned that if there is no immediate response, it will proceed with direct action measures at various locations across the country. It also anticipated the possibility of filing legal complaints for alleged breaches of public official duties.
The union estimates that during Javier Milei's administration, state employees have lost more than 55% of their salary against inflation. Additionally, it reported structural problems and a lack of operational resources in several offices, where operations are sustained by the workers' efforts.
ATE demanded an urgent call for a dialogue table with all the union organizations that signed the agreement to discuss salaries, working conditions, and the pension system.
