The president of Cantabria and the president of the Chamber of Commerce met yesterday at the Executive headquarters to commemorate the 140 years of the chamber institution.
The president of Cantabria, María José Sáenz de Buruaga, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Cantabria, Pedro Dasgoas, held a meeting yesterday at the regional Executive headquarters on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the chamber institution, as reported by camaracantabria.com.
The meeting served to review the history of the Chamber, which has accompanied the economic development of the region since 1886, and to address the current challenges facing Cantabria's business fabric. Both leaders agreed on highlighting the role of the entity as a bridge between the private sector and public administrations.
"The Chamber of Commerce has been and is a fundamental ally for the companies of Cantabria," Buruaga stated during the meeting.
For his part, Dasgoas thanked the support of the regional Government and emphasized the need to continue promoting the competitiveness and internationalization of Cantabria's SMEs. The meeting concluded with a commitment to maintain close collaboration in the coming months.
