During his first keynote as CEO, John Ternus announced the iPhone Duo, a foldable mobile phone. This launch marks a new era for Apple in the smartphone sector, where it will compete with brands like Samsung and Huawei.

In his first presentation as CEO of Apple, John Ternus introduced the iPhone Duo, the company's first foldable device, at an event held at Apple Park in Cupertino. This new model aims to compete with market leaders like Samsung and Huawei, offering a design that allows for multitasking and productivity features.

The iPhone Duo folds like a passport, functioning as a normal screen when closed. According to reports, Apple expects to sell 10 million units in its first year, generating approximately 27 billion dollars in revenue. By 2027, it is estimated to reach a market share of 40% in units and 52% in value, according to IDC data.

In addition to the iPhone Duo, Apple presented upgrades to its iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, which feature the new A 20 chip designed to optimise artificial intelligence and battery life. The iPhone 18 Pro will have a starting price of 1,469 euros, while the Pro Max will start at 1,619 euros.

On another note, Apple also announced new AirPods 5 and updates to the Apple Watch 12, which now include enhanced transcription and health monitoring capabilities. The prices of these devices will remain similar to last year's.
