Bit2Me has created Bit2Shield, a new company dedicated to the custody and advisory in the seizure of cryptoassets. This initiative aims to support public institutions and financial entities in the management of digital assets.
The company Bit2Me has announced the creation of Bit2Shield, a new agency focused on technical-legal advice regarding digital assets, especially concerning the seizure and custody of cryptoassets. This information, reported by expansion.com, indicates that the new company aims to provide support to public bodies and financial entities in the investigation and management of digital assets.
Bit2Shield is established as a legal entity within the Bit2Me group. Unlike its parent company, which operates as an exchange platform, Bit2Shield does not require the MiCA license, which regulates cryptocurrency operations in Europe.
The creation of this agency responds to the growing need for experts in the on-chain ecosystem. According to Bit2Me, the functions of Bit2Shield will include: technical assistance to public bodies in seizures, comprehensive management of seized assets, judicial expertise and forensic analysis, B2B solutions for banking compliance in cryptoassets, and specialized training.
To lead this new initiative, Bit2Me has appointed Adrián Maroño, a former member of the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, who will take on the role of Director of Investigation. According to the company, his experience in investigating organized crime and technological crimes will be key to the development of Bit2Shield.
