EQT has tasked JPMorgan with the sale of Parques Reunidos, valued at €1.7 billion. This group operates several amusement parks in Spain and abroad, such as the Madrid Amusement Park and Parque Warner.
EQT has hired JPMorgan to carry out the sale of Parques Reunidos, a process that is in its initial phases and is estimated at €1.7 billion, according to various market sources consulted by expansion.com.
Among the potential buyers are industrial groups such as Merlin Entertainments and Compagnie des Alpes. This transaction comes after EQT acquired control of Parques Reunidos in 2019, when it purchased a 52% stake in the company.
Parques Reunidos, headquartered in Madrid, is the leading Spanish operator of amusement parks and has over 30 centres in ten countries, generating around €550 million in annual revenue. Throughout its history, it has sold its business in the United States and made other divestments, consolidating its presence in the European market.
The company experienced a 4.7% decline in its revenue in 2025, although operating costs were reduced by 11%, thus improving its profitability. Spain and Germany are its main markets, accounting for approximately two-thirds of its sales.
