The Spanish platform Fever has surpassed €4.5 billion in valuation following the sale of 5% of Atresmedia to Vitruvian Partners for €227 million. Additionally, it is preparing for a new funding round that could reach €200 million.
Fever, the Spanish technology platform dedicated to leisure and entertainment, has achieved a valuation of over €4.5 billion after the sale of the 5% stake held by Atresmedia in the company to the British manager Vitruvian Partners for €227 million, as reported by expansion.com.
This transaction takes place at a time when Fever is about to announce a new funding round, in which the Swedish manager EQT is expected to participate. This round is estimated to be around €200 million.
Among Fever's other notable investors are Goldman Sachs and L Catterton, the private equity manager of the LVMH group. Fever had already completed two significant funding rounds in 2022 and 2025, raising €200 million and reaching a valuation of over €1 billion in the first, and nearly €3 billion in the second.
Atresmedia, which acquired its stake in Fever in 2015, has achieved capital gains of €205 million from this sale, totaling €264 million in capital gains after several divestments. Following the operation, it is expected that the communication group will propose an extraordinary dividend for its shareholders.
Atresmedia manages its investment through Atresmedia Diversificación, which has accumulated revenues of €335 million from divestments since its creation in 2014, achieving a return on invested capital of 3.4 times and an annual yield of over 26%.
