Banco Santander has revamped its investment offerings aimed at young people, introducing competitive products that allow access to financial markets. This strategy, unprecedented for a large bank in Spain, aims to attract investors under 30.

The bank has launched a new range of index funds that allows investment from 10 euros in indices such as the IBEX 35, Euro Stoxx 50, and S&P 500. Additionally, it offers 15 ETFs linked to crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, thus expanding options for young people interested in these assets.

Banco Santander has also adjusted the economic conditions of its investment products. The new trading fee for stocks and ETFs will be 1 euro per transaction, and the management fee for managed portfolios will be reduced to 0.4% for clients under 30. These portfolios allow young people to delegate the management of their investments to professionals, with options tailored to different risk levels.

The offering includes a wide range of over 15,000 stocks and 3,000 ETFs from major markets. If a client desires an asset that is not available, they can request its addition within 24 to 48 hours.

The aim of this initiative is to facilitate young people's first steps as investors, removing barriers such as perceived complexity or high entry costs. For those lacking knowledge, Santander also offers free training through its Open Academy platform, accessible for those over 16 until 31 December.

Additionally, the campaign 'Money to invest' rewards young people with 50 euros for making a minimum investment, initially aimed at those investing in active or index funds. In a second phase, stocks, ETFs, managed portfolios, and savings insurance will be included.
