José Zudaire, Managing Director of SpainCap, stated in Bilbao that Euskadi is synonymous with technological quality and quality of life. The association, which represents 320 partners and 3,200 participating companies, has resumed Los Viernes de la Cámara after the summer.
The Bilbao Chamber of Commerce has resumed this Friday its cycle Los Viernes de la Cámara with a presentation by José Zudaire, Managing Director of SpainCap, the venture capital and private equity association in Spain. The talk, titled 'Financing the Future: Private Capital and Business Development', was moderated by the president of the chamber corporation, José Ignacio Zudaire, and was supported by Neinor Homes, according to camarabilbao.com.
Zudaire reviewed the association's figures, which is celebrating its fortieth anniversary: "There are 3,200 companies, mostly SMEs, approximately 600,000 employees and about fifty billion euros invested in Spain. We have 320 partners and we try to ensure they know each other and interact, to carry out more operations." The executive summarised SpainCap's activities into three pillars: "Public affairs, training, and sustainability."
"Euskadi is synonymous with technological quality and quality of life"
The meeting served to analyse the situation of Bilbao and Euskadi as an investment destination. In this regard, the head of SpainCap linked the region's appeal to its technological ecosystem and quality of life, factors that, according to his speech, contribute to attracting private capital for business development.
The event brought together representatives from the financial and business sectors, including Iñigo Ibarra, territorial director of the Northern Zone of Neinor Homes, and Borja García-Egocheaga, CEO of the same company. The next session of Los Viernes de la Cámara is scheduled for next Friday at the headquarters of the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce.
