The information, reported by expansion.com, details that the temporary union of companies (UTE) formed by Hisdesat, controlled by Indra, and Telefónica, was competing for this contract against Orange and Satlink. This service is crucial for the private and strategic communications network known as I3D.
In total, Telefónica has secured five of the eight available lots in this tender, accumulating a combined value close to €176 million, which represents almost 70% of the maximum value of the framework agreement. The largest lot was awarded to a UTE of Telefónica and Sphera for €105.2 million.
Additionally, Vodafone España has secured another lot for nearly €29 million for mobile telecommunications services and infrastructure. This service will include voice, data, and messaging communications, with an initial duration of three years.
The framework agreement also covers other services, such as secure videoconferencing, awarded to TRC for €12.45 million, expanding the communication capabilities of the Ministry of Defence.
