The Seville Chamber of Commerce has trained 789 people since January in four free programmes co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus. New in-person courses will be offered in September.
The Seville Chamber of Commerce has trained 789 people in employability and entrepreneurship since January through four free programmes co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). The entity presented the balance of its initiatives on Monday, which includes new calls for in-person courses in September.
The bulk of the training has been concentrated in the Talent 45+ Programme, aimed at unemployed individuals aged between 45 and 60 years. So far this year, 555 people have participated in its 31 training actions, a programme that the Chamber launched in 2020 and which has already seen 4,895 individuals over 45 take part.
In the Young Talent Programme, aimed at those under 30, 352 young people completed one of its pathways during the first half of the year. Since its inception in 2015, a total of 6,667 young people have completed one of the 403 pathways offered, always designed based on the needs identified in companies.
The entrepreneurial aspect has also played a significant role. The Spain Entrepreneur Programme trained 217 people with business interests in 15 training actions during the first half of the year, while the Women Entrepreneurs Programme has trained 108 women in 9 courses. Since 2022, both programmes have accumulated a total of 1,660 and 813 participants, respectively.
For September, the Chamber has announced a new batch of free in-person courses both in the capital and the province. For employed and unemployed individuals of all ages, courses such as Strategic Customer Service in Business, Basic Administration, Accounting Management, Payroll Management, and Digital Marketing with AI will be offered, among others.
Unemployed individuals under 30 can opt for Monitor for Children's and Youth Leisure Activities or National and International Cuisine and Catering and Restaurant Organisation. Meanwhile, unemployed individuals over 45 have access to courses such as Patient Transfer and Mobilisation, Home Teleassistance Management, Receptionist Concierge, Basic Office Automation, or Cafeteria Monitor.
Students who complete these programmes will have exclusive access to the website Talent Pool – Smart Talent, a job pool with specific offers for each profile. Since 2015, a total of 16,967 people have benefited from the free services of the Seville Chamber of Commerce through more than 1,000 training actions and individualised career guidance pathways.
