The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council has announced grants of 35,000 euros for tourism projects from associations, businesses, and professionals. The application deadline is 15 days from the publication in the BOP.
The aid is divided into two lines of 17,500 euros each. Line 1 is aimed at associations and non-profit organisations; Line 2 is for businesses and professionals. The call was published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Seville (BOP) on Monday, September 21.
The municipal head of the Identity Area and Tourism delegate, Christopher Rivas, has encouraged local associations, groups, businesses, and professionals to submit their projects. According to Rivas, the aim is to "promote and energise tourism activity through the celebration of events and original thematic experiences with social impact, and the creation and/or recovery of elements of tourist interest and new services that can attract visitors from outside Alcalá."
"We want these grants to support initiatives that arise from the local community. There are associations, professionals, and businesses capable of contributing interesting projects for our city's tourism, and we want to facilitate the realisation of those ideas"
Eligible projects include the organisation of events, festivals, recreational and leisure days, thematic markets, historical reenactments, guided tours, as well as congresses, informative or training days, and workshops. Actions for the design and production of tourist and promotional resources for Alcalá de Guadaíra will also be funded.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 days from the publication in the BOP. Applications will be processed through the municipal electronic headquarters: https://ciudadalcala.sedelectronica.es/info.0. The call is resolved under a competitive bidding process.
These grants belong to the Identity area and add to the calls for Culture, Heritage, and Environment that the City Council already has underway.
