The auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura in Lebrija hosted the first edition of the 'First Dates Empresarial' on Thursday, a networking event featuring two-minute meetings between business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs. The initiative, driven by Prodetur, AJE Sevilla, the Town Hall of Lebrija, and APYME, aims to generate collaboration and business opportunities within the local productive fabric.

The auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura in Lebrija was the chosen venue to celebrate the first edition of 'First Dates Empresarial: Tailored Business', an event that brings the speed dating format to the business world. The event, held on Thursday, 17 September, brought together local business owners, professionals, and entrepreneurs from the area.

The initiative was promoted by Prodetur, in collaboration with the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Seville (AJE Sevilla), the Town Hall of Lebrija, and the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Lebrija (APYME). The goal: to facilitate contact between economic agents and foster new avenues for collaboration.

The meeting was attended by the mayor of Lebrija, along with the president of AJE Sevilla, representatives from Prodetur, members of APYME Lebrija, and the municipal delegate for Economic Development.

The event kicked off at 9:30 AM with registrations and a welcome coffee. At 10:30, the official inauguration took place, and brief meetings of just two minutes began between participants. The agile and dynamic format allowed for project presentations, the identification of common interests, and the exploration of potential synergies.

“Often, behind a business opportunity, there is simply a conversation that has yet to take place,” remarked the mayor of Lebrija during the inauguration.

The mayor, Pepe Barroso, emphasized that such spaces allow for “knowing, listening, sharing, detecting opportunities, and establishing relationships,” and encouraged attendees to make the most of the day to expand their professional networks. He also reiterated the commitment of the Town Hall of Lebrija to the local business fabric and to creating forums that promote the exchange of experiences.

The activity was aimed at both established business owners and professionals, as well as entrepreneurs who are just starting out. The day concluded with a networking cocktail, a more relaxed space to continue exchanging contacts and solidifying the relationships initiated during the business meetings.

With this first experience, Lebrija becomes the first municipality in the province to host a format of this kind, which seeks to energize the local economy through direct connections between its productive agents.
