Huelva's mayor, Pilar Miranda, claims that the Onuba project in Palos de la Frontera will mobilise up to €3 billion and generate up to 10,000 jobs in Andalusia.
The mayor of Huelva, Pilar Miranda, attended the official launch of the Onuba project, the first phase of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley by Moeve in Palos de la Frontera this Thursday. During her speech, the mayor stated that 'the green revolution of Europe has already begun in Huelva', as reported by the digital newspaper huelvared.com.
Miranda described the milestone as 'a historic event that presents us with a unique opportunity that we must seize'. The mayor recalled that the project will mobilise 'up to €3 billion' and could generate 'up to 10,000 jobs' throughout Andalusia, 'many direct, benefiting hundreds of SMEs and self-employed workers in the province'.

The mayor reminisced about her time as President of the Port of Huelva, where she had the 'opportunity' to work on the initial steps of the project 'authorising the construction of the new key dock for its development'. 'Now as mayor, I see how the work done is yielding results', she added.
Miranda announced that the Huelva City Council will continue to stand by Moeve as a 'strategic ally', aiming to attract new investors and promote training so that job opportunities linked to these projects remain in Huelva.

The mayor congratulated Moeve for 'its strong commitment to Huelva, for believing in this land and demonstrating that here, major industrial projects find their place'.
The launch event for the Onuba project was held in Palos de la Frontera and marks the start of the first phase of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, an initiative that, according to data provided during the event, will have a direct impact on the productive fabric of the province of Huelva.
