The Ministry of Treasury has allocated €273.2 million from the EDIL DANA Plan to 95 local entities, with a total investment of €287.6 million to reconstruct and protect the municipalities affected by the DANA of October 2024.
The Ministry of Treasury, through the General Directorate of European Funds, has resolved the call for expressions of interest from the EDIL DANA Plan, allocating €273.2 million in financial aid from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to 95 local entities. The total public investment mobilised reaches €287.6 million, according to lamoncloa.gob.es.
The Minister of Treasury, Arcadi España, announced the resolution this Thursday during a visit to Mislata (Valencia), one of the beneficiary municipalities. The individual notifications to the local entities were made this same Thursday so that they can start the projects, which are framed within Specific Objective 2.10 of the Multi-Regional Programme of Spain ERDF 2021-2027 and the European RESTORE Regulation.
The funds will cover 69 localities in the Valencian Community and 26 municipalities in Albacete and Cuenca, the latter organised through Functional Urban Areas (AUF) led by the provincial councils, to respond to the areas of Letur and Mira.
The call has received 34 approved applications: 3 large cities (Valencia, Torrent, and Paterna) will receive up to €12 million; 18 intermediate cities (including Algemesí, Alfafar, Xirivella, Cullera, Manises, Mislata, Alaquàs, Catarroja, Paiporta, and Sueca) up to €9 million; and 13 Functional Urban Areas up to €6 million.
The actions are structured around three axes: structural and hydraulic resilience, digital intelligence, and community cohesion. They include works such as the separation of sewage and stormwater networks, permeable pavements, and natural retention squares. Among the emblematic interventions are Gregorio Gea Avenue and the Main Square of Mislata, visited by the minister.
