The restaurant chain AmRest, owner of brands such as La Tagliatella, has reported losses of €13.8 million in the first half of 2026. This figure multiplies by six the losses of the previous year.
AmRest, the chain behind brands like La Tagliatella, Bacoa, and Sushi Shop, has announced net attributed losses of €13.792 million for the first half of 2026, representing an increase of 514.6% compared to the same period last year, according to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The company's revenues have fallen by 2.5%, reaching a total of €1.231 billion. Additionally, the gross operating result (Ebitda) has decreased by 41.5%, to €27.785 million.
In terms of sales, the Spanish market generated €175.397 million, down 0.8% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the European Union contributed €1.055 billion, while the rest of the world added €69.520 million, reflecting a decrease of 2.9% and an increase of 0.1%, respectively.
The average semi-annual workforce of AmRest stood at 44,283 employees, a 2.2% decrease compared to the previous year. Regarding remuneration, board members received €444,000, a 6.7% increase from 2025, while management staff collectively earned €3 million, representing a decrease of 5.9%.
