Santander has decided to include university students under 30 in its Select programme, which offers preferential conditions. This initiative aims to broaden its customer base among young people and facilitate access to premium services.

Santander has expanded its Select segment, which was relaunched a year and a half ago, to include university students under 30. According to expansion.com, this inclusion allows young people to access advantages and financial products that were previously reserved only for high-income clients.

To benefit from these conditions, students must be enrolled in universities with which the bank has agreements and meet at least one of the following conditions: be a client since January or be the holder of a Santander card. University students will have access to the same products as those clients with a minimum wealth of 100,000 euros or who deposit at least 3,000 euros per month.

The Select programme also covers individuals who own at least 5,000 Santander shares, as well as self-employed individuals who earn more than 300,000 euros per year. Additionally, it includes professional groups such as Justice officials, airline pilots, and members of the State Security Forces.

This adjustment adds to the customer segmentation strategy that the bank has recently implemented, offering premium services to a broader spectrum of clients, including students. Among these services is a Luxury Concierge available 24 hours a day, which assists clients with various procedures and needs.
