The recent authorisation by the SEC to trade tokenised stocks has led the cryptocurrency market to experience a notable increase. Some cryptocurrencies have risen by up to 30% in response to this measure.
Cryptocurrencies have seen a strong rebound following the SEC's decision to allow the trading of tokenised stocks on Wall Street, according to expansion.com. This measure has generated significant interest among investors and has led to substantial increases in various tokens.
The crypto market has experienced three frenzied days, starting with the rejection by the United States Senate of a law to regulate the sector, followed by the interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve. However, the SEC's decision to greenlight tokenised stocks has surprised analysts and boosted investment in the sector.
The SEC has issued an exemption allowing the trading of tokenised stocks for a period of five years, opening the door to a 24-hour operational exchange. This authorisation has benefited companies like Coinbase, Gemini, and Robinhood, which have seen their shares increase by nearly 5%.
The cryptocurrencies most favoured by this new regulation are experiencing significant increases. In particular, Uniswap has surged by 30%, becoming the standout token among the top one hundred cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Other tokens such as solana and hyperliquid have recorded increases of 6% and 10%, respectively.
Additionally, polkadot and sky have surpassed double digits in their revaluation, while Near protocol has seen an increase of over 20% in the last 24 hours, standing out for its use in decentralised applications.
